Running from the hunt.  Hiding amongst the dead.  A young witch hastily decrypts a forbidden tome looking for answers:  a way to rid herself of hunger—a way to avoid interacting with her death-wishers.

She soon finds out a hasty decryption is often a failed one as she becomes more drawn to the people who want her burned alive.

A troubled traveler offers an escape.  She’s drawn to his lips; believes every word he says.  They’re desperate and lonely enough to fall for each other.  But kindness is only a ruse.  Can a friendship really bloom amid a witch hunt?

Please tell me you are conitinuing this. This is all so fascinatint and the characters? My gosh i love their dynamic. I missed having characters like the witch and an amazingly well-made one as well.

I won't lie to you.  I am taking my time writing part II.  But when it does release, I am certain you'll enjoy it.  There will be more characters for Anni to play with.  You'll learn more about her and Jinjie.  It's gonna be bigger and more ambitious.  My delay is from intimidation and life things.  But nothing will stop me from reading an uplifting comment!  Thank you so much.  I am happy you enjoyed the story/adventure.

I've just found this story and when I made it to the end, I'm pretty sure I felt my heart drop. To quote the person below me "i'd love to read the rest of it!" because yes, I would like to read the rest of it.
